Team Leading: Level 2 Intermediate (12 months)
 


  • The Team Leading course is ideal for those new to a management or supervisory role and covers all the fundamental skills and behaviours required to be an effective manager.
  • Topics covered will include: self-management; relationship building; negotiation and influencing skills; as well as skills in project and people management.
  • This course is likely to be suitable for staff in Grades 3 to 4 in roles that involve an element of Team Leading with responsibilities including monitoring work, giving feedback, briefing teams, supporting team members and resolving problems.
  • Qualification gained: OCR Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading.
  • This qualification can be started at any time. It will involve 10 days professional training in the classroom, monthly visits from a work-based assessor and the completion of an NVQ portfolio of evidence.

Supervisor: Level 3 Advanced (18 months)
 

  • Focusing on developing the sense of responsibility and leadership that are required to be a successful supervisor or line manager, this training is idea for those who already have supervisory experience but have had no formal training or qualification.
  • Topics covered will include a broad range of management skills including: change management; how to develop and grow your team and developing your skills in performance management and recruitment.
  • This course is likely to be suitable for staff in Grades 5 to 6 in roles that involve some or all of the following:  planning work and setting team targets; giving feedback and monitoring progress towards targets; briefing teams; managing team members; resolving problems and project management.
  • Qualification gained: Level 3 Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard and OCR Level 3 Diploma in Management.
  • This qualification can be started at any time. It will involve 10 days professional training in the classroom, monthly visits from a work-based tutor and the completion of an NVQ portfolio of evidence. Candidates will be required to complete an end point assessment.

Operations/Departmental Manager: Level 5 Standard (24 months)
 

  • An operations/departmental manager is someone who manages teams and/or projects, and achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives, as part of the delivery of the organisations strategy. They are accountable to a more senior manager or business owner. Key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, nancial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring.
  • Roles may include: Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Divisional Manager, Department Manager and specialist managers.
  • Qualification gained: Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship Standard and OCR Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
  • This qualification can be started at any time. It will involve 10 days professional training in the classroom, monthly visits from a work-based tutor and the completion of an NVQ portfolio of evidence. Candidates will be required to complete an end point assessment.

Chartered Manager Degree: Level 6 Standard (48 months)
 

  • A Chartered Manager is someone who can take responsibility for people, projects, operations and/or services to deliver long term organisational success, with the professional recognition of their ability to deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate their commitment to continual learning and development.
  • Qualification gained: Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship Standard and BA (Hons) Business, Management and Communications
  • This qualification has a September start date. It will involve day release training in the classroom. Candidates will be required to complete an end point assessment.
